Dust suppression is the application of calcium chloride to limit the presence of dust on a gravel surface. You may request dust suppressant be applied to the gravel road in front of your Mountain View County residence, rural subdivision, or business. The cost is shared between the County and the applicant.
The Calcium Program begins once the Road Bans have come off in early June and the program takes approximately two months to complete.
2026 Applications
Our initial spring applications for the 2026 season are now AVAILABLE. Dust Suppression applications must be submitted by Friday May 15th, 2026 at 4:00pm.
