A large portion of Alberta’s bear populations overlap areas where people live, work and play. This has resulted in increasing human bear interactions on both public and private lands and creates a concern for public safety and property damage.
Come hear Jay Honeyman, Bear Conflict Specialist with Alberta Environment and Parks, and learn about securing bear attractants to reduce incidents. Also featuring Jeff Bectell, a rancher in the Pincher Creek area and Chair of the Carnivores and Communities program with the Waterton Biosphere Reserve.
