Intermunicipal Development Plans

Mountain View County and the Village of Cremona approved a join Intermunicipal Development Plan as of October 8, 2019. These agreements are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) between adjacent urban and rural municipalities.

Mountain View County and the Town of Olds have undertaken a process of reviewing the current Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP).

The Town of Olds is the host for the IDP Review and the below link that contains updates on the review. This link will redirect to the Town of Olds website:

Mountain View County Council and the Council for the Municipal District of Bighorn approved an Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework (ICF) and an Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) on June 12, 2019 and June 11, 2019 respectively.

These agreements are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) between adjacent urban and rural municipalities.

• Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework Bylaw No 03/19 - MD Bighorn

Both Mountain View County and Red View County have determined by motions of Council(s) that an Intermunicipal Development Plan between the two municipalities is not required.

Mountain View County Council approved the motion on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.
