Intermunicipal Development Plans

Mountain View County and the Town of Carstairs approved a join Intermunicipal Development Plan as of February 24, 2021. These agreements are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) between adjacent urban and rural municipalities.

Mountain View County and the Village of Cremona approved a join Intermunicipal Development Plan as of October 8, 2019. These agreements are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) between adjacent urban and rural municipalities.

Mountain View County and the Town of Didsbury are hosting a joint Virtual Open House to go over the draft Intermunicipal Development Plan.

The virtual open house is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 6 p.m.

Mountain View County and the Town of Olds approved a join Intermunicipal Development Plan as of November 25, 2020. These agreements are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) between adjacent urban and rural municipalities.

Mountain View County and the Town of Sundre will continue to proceed with the adoption of the joint Intermunicipal Development Plan:

 

Mountain View County Council and the Council for the Municipal District of Bighorn approved an Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework (ICF) and an Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) on June 12, 2019 and June 11, 2019 respectively.

These agreements are required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) between adjacent urban and rural municipalities.

 

Both Mountain View County and Clearwater County have determined by motions of Council(s) that an Intermunicipal Development Plan between the two municipalities is not required.

Mountain View County Council approved the motion on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

Both Mountain View County and Red View County have determined by motions of Council(s) that an Intermunicipal Development Plan between the two municipalities is not required.
