Mountain View County’s road construction season is now underway. Many of these projects will result in road closures for extended periods of time. Listed closure times are subject to change due to weather and other factors.

THIS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED WEEKLY AS NEW CLOSURES OCCUR!

Please call the County office at 403-335-3311 for more information.

Range Roads 10 & 10A

Portions of Range Road 10 (850 metres) and Range Road 10A (1,100 metres) south of Highway 581 (east of Carstairs) will be closed from Thursday, September 17, 2020 to Friday, October 30, 2020 for road upgrades required as part of the Development Permit issued for Rocky Mountain Motorsports Corp at the end of August.

Concurrently, the Developer will be undertaking roadwork at the same location along Highway 581, although the highway is scheduled to remain open to traffic.

Suggested detour routes for the area are available below. Please note, one mile of the detour along RR 10A north of Twp Rd 292 lies within Rocky View County.

Mountain View County acknowledges these closures will cause some disruption for local residents and appreciates motorists' patience during this period. Please observe all signage and barriers in this area.

Part of the County's agreement for closure requests is that access to properties for local residents be maintained, along with understanding and accommodation for time-sensitive agricultural activies currently underway in the area.
