Mountain View County Council handed out the 2017 Citizenship Awards last week to area rural high school students who displayed the qualities of leadership and community involvement. The chosen students each received $500 towards their post-secondary studies as part of the annual awards.

Also receiving an award was Colby Evans of Hugh Sutherland School in Carstairs, but he was unable to attend the ceremony. No students from Didsbury High School applied for the award this year.
