Mountain View County is proposing changes to the Land Use Bylaw. The changes are intended to address issues encountered over the past year, and to provide and clear interpretation on uses within the Land Use Bylaw (LUB).
Proposed key change areas include: Business Contractors; Cannabis Production Facility; Cannabis Retail Sales; Sour Gas Facility; Borrow Pits; Shipping Containers (sea cans); Portable Batch Plant (Asphalt Plant); Secondary Detached Dwelling; Definition of a "Kennel"; Aggregate Extraction/Processing Operating Regulations - NW 36-31-2-W5M (Jackson Gravel Pit); Development Authority; Aerodrome and Airport; and further minor changes.
The public hearing for Bylaw No. 16/18 is scheduled for Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at or after 9 a.m. in Council Chambers.

Comments for the proposed Bylaw will be received by Jessica Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for written submission is noon on Monday, July 9, 2018.
Submissions received by the deadline will be distributed to Council in advance of the hearing. Submissions received following the deadline will be presented to Council to consider adding to the agenda at their discretion.
Any person who wishes to address Council in regards to this issue may do so at the Public Hearing.
