With the arrival of warmer weather county crews have begun the annual process of blading gravel roads utilizing the County grader fleet.
As part of this annual program, County crews will be looking at sections of gravel roadway in front of private residences that have had applications of private dust control to determine if they require maintenance.
In the event some of these sections do require maintenance, Operational Services want to remind residents – as per County Policy 4015 – that:
- Mountain View County reserves the right to maintain any treated section of roadway as deemed appropriate by Mountain View County, its employees or agents.
- When conditions of the gravel roadway, in the opinion of Mountain View County, deteriorate to a situation where normal maintenance will not sustain the treated section of roadway, it may be restored to its original gravel condition. When the roadway is to be restored to its original gravel condition, Mountain View County will inform the applicant prior to this work being done.
