County Update on Enhanced COVID-19 Restrictions

With the Premier of Alberta’s announcement of additional COVID-19 response measures on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, Mountain View County is issuing a reminder of the ongoing protocols regarding the County office and staff interactions.

According to the information supplied by the Provincial Government, all areas of Mountain View County fall under the Enhanced Category and the announced restrictions for that category will apply on the respective dates announced by the Provincial Government.

For the County’s municipal operations, most programs, services, and projects will continue with minimal disruption.

The County strongly advises residents seeking services offered at the administration office to book appointments ahead of time to meet with staff, or calling in advance to check on staff availability to meet a specific service need. Due to the current protocols in place there is a strong possibility that the staff qualified to meet any given resident service requirement is working remotely and unavailable for a drop-in meeting.

In addition to the protocols at the County office, outside work by Operational Services and Agricultural & Parks Services staff is anticipated to continue at expected service levels while maintaining Alberta Health Services recommended measures and protocols. County shop locations continue to be closed to the public, and it is asked that residents with questions or concerns call the office rather than approaching staff working on the road network.

At this time, County day-use parks are open, and we request residents utilize them safely and observe all Provincial Health restrictions when doing so in the coming days and weeks.
