The extensive road construction work on the Bergen Road between Highway 22 west to Range Road 53 (Fallen Timber Trail) will resume in the first week of May, depending on site conditions and weather.
This work will result in periodic lane closures, and motorists are warned to expect rough road conditions in the construction zone. If not travelling to the Bergen area specifically, motorists are asked to consider alternate routes for their commute.
Work on laying the remainder of base gravel will be the focus of the early work, along with preparing for the laying of asphalt. Paving will begin following the completion of this base work.
Following the paving clean up work will commence, including installation of fencing, planting of trees and upgrades to the neighbouring Davidson Park.
Signage will be posted at each end of the construction zone and updated based on ongoing activity. Notification of updates will be provided to area residents and motorists weekly through the County Connection pullout in the Mountain View Albertan, on the County website at www.mountainviewcounty.com, on the County’s social media channels, and through push notifications on the County app; available for download in both the Apple Store and Google Play Store on most mobile devices.
The County appreciates the patience of area residents, and the understanding of motorists for any delays and/or closures.
