September is a busy month in Mountain View County with the return to school for rural students and the uptick in harvest operations.

Motorists on County roadways are reminded that early mornings and late afternoons will see an increase in school bus traffic along regular bus routes. Please observe all bus lights and watch for children on approaches and driveways.

In addition to the school traffic, harvest operations around the County will be in full swing – particularly on good weather days. That means an increase in grain trucks and slower moving equipment like combines on County roads.

Please take care in passing any slow-moving traffic and also be aware of any field debris on the roads.

Let’s make harvest 2018 a safe one for all road users in Mountain View County.
