Water
Mountain View County is a partner in the Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission - Regulation 245/92 under the Municipal Government Act.
The Commission is authorized to provide water services to its member partners which include the County's urban centres. For information on the Regulation and the scope of the Commission, click here.
For more information on the Red Deer River Basin, Water Wells, or Alberta's water supply, please visit Alberta Environment.
The water source for most of Mountain View County is the Red Deer River.
Each urban centre has its own sewage treatment facility.
Mountain View County is also a member of the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance, and the Red Deer River Municipal Users Group.
