South McDougal Flats
As part of the 2008 budget, Council approved the review of the West Sundre Area Structure Plan (to be renamed South McDougal Flats Area Structure Plan). This area falls within the identified growth centre under the Municipal Development Plan. A Steering Committee has been formed and the initial meeting has been held. Draft Area Structure Plan
The Steering Committee has considered input on the draft Plan made by residents of the area and government agencies. Based upon the input, the Steering Committee agreed to additional changes to the draft Plan and has recommended it to Council for approval.
The Council of Mountain View County has given first reading to Bylaw No. 02/10 a bylaw to adopt the South McDougal Flats Area Structure Plan. The Public Hearing for Bylaw No. 02/10 - South McDougal Flats Area Structure Plan has been set for February 24, 2010 at or after 9:00 am at the County Office located at 1408 Twp. Rd. 32.0.
