When you travel a road in Mountain View County, youre driving on a surface that is being looked after with care by the Operational Services Department.
The Countys Operational Services department is resourced to maintain and enhance public services on 1,747 miles of roads including over 1,226 miles of gravel roads and 521 miles of chip sealed roads. In addition, the department is responsible for over 140 pieces of equipment and trucks, snow removal, dust control, salting, sanding, culvert installation, gravel pits and more.
Mountain View County is divided into 10 Road Maintenance Districts (increased from 7 in last year) and managed by a Department Superintendent, two regional supervisors and a team of committed full time and seasonal staff. We welcome your calls and inquiries at 403-335-3311 or:
