I was born in the old Didsbury Municipal Hospital in 1947. I began my school days at Burnside School, later moving to Midway. After graduating from Didsbury High School, I attended Olds College, where I received a diploma in Agriculture in 1966.

My wife Susan and I manage the family farm along the Lonepine Creek. We produce grain, hay and beef cattle; and provide a custom grain vac service with customers throughout Mountain View County. We recently invested in and developed a rural wireless internet network that covers eastern Mountain View County and Kneehill County. We have five children- with our youngest now attending the new Didsbury High School- and I am grandfather to eight beautiful grandchildren.

My volunteer work over the years included 10 years as a 4-H leader, and serving 3 years with the Lone Pine Ag Society. My main concerns during my next three years on Council include road maintenance, subdivisions and high density developments, and preserving prime agricultural land.
