Lana Yakimchuk

I am a farmer and teacher who has lived in the county for 33 years. I have been fortunate to have the loving support of my two children, my family, my friends and my neighbours in my endeavours. These include 4-H, church, school volunteerism, community activities and hosting exchange students.

I was elected in March, 2006 and am now beginning my first full term. In my short past term I was involved with (among others) libraries, Cremona Fire and Emergency, Mountain View Seniors Housing, and the development of the Municipal Development Plan. My priorities in this term will be roads and services, rewriting the Land Use Bylaw and the Water Valley/ Winchell Lake ASP, continued inter-municipal cooperation, and Seniors' Housing.
