Division One

Jackson, Wessex and Midway

Gwen Day

Together with my husband, Donald, we own and operate Silver Willow Golf and Sporting Club just west of Carstairs. Being married for 27 years, we have been blessed to raise our three children on our third generation family farm. In the past year we have welcomed both a new son-in-law and a daughter-in-law into our family.

I'm currently serving my second term as a Councilor for Division One. Previously, I have served in our community, Horse 4-H, and in our church on many different committees.

As a Councillor I am committed to seeing our region as a whole continue to work together towards greater unity and prosperity. I see Mountain View County increasing in its ability to offer greater customer service in all our departments, with efficient road maintenance and future industrial development being major priorities. I envision ongoing priority being placed on communication and community building in our County.

As a Council, I see us gaining more focus to implement the many changes that took place over this past term; as well as continuing to build on our relationship with the Provincial Government.
