Welcome to a special place.
Here in Mountain View, we're blessed with many unique advantages. We have some of the best farmland in Canada; our land is rich in natural resources; we're exceptionally well situated on the fastest growing corridor in North America; and we experience enviable diversity in terms of industry, geography and culture. Most important, we're home to rural Albertans * entrepreneurial, ethical, hardworking, progressive friends and neighbours who take pride in our county.
Council and Administration work on behalf of our ratepayers to create new infrastructure, maintain and improve existing infrastructure, deliver sustainable services, respond to current issues, and celebrate the Alberta Advantage.
As a County, we know our future is linked to the prosperity of our urban centres, other regions, Alberta and Canada. As such, we participate actively in a wide range of organizations, boards and committees * all designed to share information, learn from each other, and drive progressive policies for growing municipalities.
A little closer to home we are examining new maintenance policies, developing new and more modern development plans and diversifying our tax base through new commercial developments. We are also working towards stronger environmental and agricultural policies- all of this with the future in mind.
We're firm believers in the communication, the democratic process and keeping in close touch with the people we're privileged to represent. As such, we encourage input and feedback from our constituents. Together, we're building a future to be proud of.
