CAO Office
Tony Martens is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Mountain View County, accepting the position in 2011. As the sole employee of Council, Tony is repsonsible for:
- Administration of the organization resources and the coordination and supervision of staff in a manner that achieves the goals and objectives set by Council, within the specified programs, limits of budgets and resources allocated.
- Participating in the Planning, Development and Economic Development activities of the community.
- The legal activities and management of all claims against the municipality.
- Ensuring that policy, overall strategies and long range planning in all areas of activity by the Town are developed, maintained and implemented.
- Providing leadership and advice to subordinates and staff.
- Providing advice to, and represent the organization and its staff to Council, Boards, Committees, the Public and to government departments.
