Welcome to Mountain View County's aviation community where the skies are wide open to flight enthusiasts of all levels and central Alberta businesses needing timely, safe and reliable charter service.

The Olds-Didsbury Airport lies 40 minutes north of the Calgary International Airport; 45 minutes south of Red Deer; and two minutes west on the Bergen Road just off of Highway 2A. The Sundre Residential Airpark is two minutes southwest of the Town of Sundre, just off Secondary Highway 584 on Rge. Rd. 55.

Either way, the County's two Airports are well situated for experienced recreational flyers, students, charter operators and small business serving the MacKenzie Valley Pipeline, energy, agriculture, tourism and manufacturing industries.

Outside of the Calgary International Airport's controlled airspace, Mountain View County aviation facilities provide:

• Uncontrolled airspace for recreational and business flyers
• Local search and rescue, medevac units, disaster support to Governments and RCMP

Mountain View County is a member of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.

About the Airports

The County owns and operates two aviation facilities:

• The Sundre Residential Airpark - the premier aerial recreation facility in west central Alberta
• The Olds-Didsbury Airport - a high end air supported Business Park endorsed by an Area Structure Plan publicly approved in 2006. Fee Simple Lots (full owner equity) are now for sale!

Fly With Us

Flying is a well honored tradition in Mountain View County. Two long term flying clubs welcome new members and inquiries about club activities, plane rentals, teaching, recreational and charter services.
