The new year has arrived and it promises to be a busy start to the year for Mountain View County.
Right out of the gate in January there are two important Open Houses for people in the local communities.
First, on Wednesday, January 16th an Open House will be held to update the Winchell Lake and Water Valley community on the upcoming development at the County’s Winchell Lake Gravel Pit.
This Open House is set to start at 6:30 PM and runs to 8:30 PM, with a presentation set for 7 PM. This will take place at the Chinook Creative Arts Building, otherwise known as the old Water Valley School Building.
If you live in the Winchell Lake area please do not miss this important session on the future direction of County operations in the Winchell Lake Gravel Pit.
The second Open House of note is the Eagle Valley Area Structure Plan Review Open House.
Scheduled for Tuesday, January 29th at the Eagle Hill Memorial Community Centre from 6 PM to 8 PM, this session will feature a presentation at 6:30 PM and a question and answer opportunity to follow. Visit our information link on our website or see the complete advertisement in this week’s County pullout section of the Mountain View Gazette.
This open house will give Eagle Valley residents an opportunity to provide comments and feedback on the draft area structure plan and the possibility for future parks and conservation land uses within the Eagle Valley area.
The steering committee members will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the review process and the draft plan.
If you live in either Winchell Lake or Eagle Valley, please take the time to drop in for some, or all, of these important Open Houses.
