Community Grants & Funding Programs - 2017

Applications are available for download for Mountain View County grant or shared-grant programs on an annual basis. Applications are currently being accepted for the first round of funding. Any remaining funding in the grant programs may be re-advertised and applications posted in the appropriate section below.

2017 Rural Community Grant

This grant program provides funding for County-based programs that benefit the rural community and residents. This program provides funding to local music students to further pursue the musical education. Agricultural Funding

Mountain View County
recognizes the need for funding Agriculture Related Projects to serve the needs
of the County's Agricultural population. The Agricultural Service Board (ASB)
has a grant program for Agricultural Related Projects that support Agricultural
development through education, youth engagement, events and other related
projects. This funding is available to groups, associations or non-profit
societies that have been in existence for at least two years and operate within
Mountain View County.

Requests must be made in writing and include a statement
describing the Agricultural related project and the benefit it will provide.
The approved funding may be used for education, supplies, contracted services,
scholarships, sponsorship, equipment, installation and site preparation.

All funding applications will be forwarded to an ASB Meeting for
review for funding consideration. Additional information and/or a presentation
may be requested. Please click the below links for more information.

Requests for Agriculture
Related Project Funding must be made in writing to the Agricultural Service
Board at Mountain View County, Postal Bag 100, Didsbury, Alberta T0M 0W0.

Once the annual approved
budget is spent for Agriculture Related Projects no more projects can be funded
for that budget year, therefore please submit your project fund request prior
to March 10, 2017.

Cremona Recreation & Culture Funding

Applications for 2017 Recreation Funding are eligible for the Cremona & District Recreation Area only. Recreation funding around the other urban communities is covered by a funding mechanism detailed in the Memorandums of Agreement between the County and the urban partner.
