Municipal Area Partnership
The Municipal Area Partnership is a diverse group of unique and independent communities working together to provide a great place to reside, work, play and grow in a safe and healthy environment, while enhancing economic development, leading to prosperity and sustainability for all.
The Committee consists of Council members or designates from member municipalities:
- Mountain View County (Three members)
- Town of Carstairs (One member)
- Town of Didsbury (One member)
- Town of Olds (One member)
- Town of Sundre (One member)
- Village of Cremona (One member)
Each member municipality is also encouraged to have a member of their administration attend who will sit as an ex-officio member of the committee: They may take part in discussions, but cannot vote on any matter unless authorized as the representative of Council.
Committee Purpose
The Municipal Area Partnership Committee is as an advisory board to the member municipalities that will provide recommendations to each of the six participating councils for their consideration.
The Committee is not intended to replace the local decision making process, rather to enhance the process relative to issues of a regional nature.
